kundalini yoga

Kundalini yoga

Kundalini is one of the more spiritual types of yoga. It goes beyond the physical performance of poses with its emphasis on breathing, meditation, mudras and chanting.
The Kundalini energy is often represented as a snake coiled at the base of the spine. This yoga gives special consideration to the role of the spine and the endocrine system – both essential parts for yogic awakening.
The Kundalini is untapped spiritual energy at the base of the spine that can be drawn up through the body awakening each of the seven chakras of the body. Full enlightenment occurs when this energy reaches the Crown Chakra: the Sahasrara.
Kundalini yoga helps in the better functioning of the digestive, glandular, cardiovascular, lymphatic and nervous system. This also helps to enrich your sense of well-being and confidence that comes from the process of self-discovery of your inner self and reaching a relaxed state of mind and body. It strengthens the immune system too and helps you fight off several diseases and keep them at bay.
Kundalini Gland
The muladhara chakra at the base of the spine is where kundalini is supposed to lie coiled awaiting to rise. Several factors led the ancients to this symbolic idea of the coiled serpent. First when Kundalini does rise one of the initial pathways it takes seems to be around the spine between the two sympathetic trunks. The discharge of a double helix of energy can be felt rising up around the spine.
Kundalini body (coccygeal body) is an irregular, oval-shaped gland between the rectal wall and the tip of the tailbone or coccyx. This is known in Tantra as the Kundalini gland. During active Kundalini one can often feel a pulsation in the sacrum.
The cockerel gland is fed by sympathetic nerves from the first two ganglion and by parasympathetic nerves; and by the median sacral artery and vein, directly influencing the nervous system via chemical messages arising from the blood. It is several millimeters in diameter and is composted of epithelioid cells and smooth muscle cells. Removal of this gland creates nervous derangement.

Advanced Yoga Postures

One can practice advance asanas or postures in yoga exercises. But it is always important that before starting advance asana practice, one has to do basic yoga postures at least two months, if one follow this order it will helpful for the follower to prevent any damage by the practice.
The great yogi Patanjali did not defined these Asana or posture in yoga.
Please don’t try these postures, it is injurious to health!!!!

Kundalini and the Holy Spirit:Are they Same?

There is lack of awareness about Kundalini in the western world. Many have speculated that Kundalini and the Holy Spirit are the same thing. In my understanding they are not the same, Holy Spirit is the divine energy from above and Kundalini is the dormant life energy in human beings. Kundalini represents only half the process, the Holy Spirit is needed to bring completion. “The Descent of Spirit into matter, and the Ascent of matter into Spirit”, makes the complete evolution. Kundalini is the ‘Ascent of matter into Spirit’.
Kundalini is the energy of creation, of mankind in the earth. It initiates in the etheric body and enters the physical body via the nervous and endocrine systems. The purpose of Kundalini is to balance the two physical polarities (male/female) within the physical plane of consciousness. When this happens, the person’s consciousness is expanded upward/outward into the spiritual plane of consciousness, thus merging the physical and the spiritual bodies.
The Holy Spirit is spiritual energy which enters at the heart chakra called Anahatha chakra. The Holy Spirit is an aspect of Grace, the unseen force that emanates from The Christ and permeates all of creation with the purpose of unifying, purifying and balancing. Grace is the purity of God as love itself; the Holy Spirit is its vehicle.
Kundalini energy moves from the ‘bottom up’, taking our lower nature into the spiritual realms. The Holy Spirit moves from the ‘bottom down,’ bringing our Divine nature into our earthly existence.Kundalini experience takes us to higher spiritual realms This is the stage known as “awareness” which then leads to ‘enlightenment’. As stated above, the Kundalini process is the ‘ascent of matter’ and represents only half the necessary experience.
To embody love we must merge our human consciousness into Christ Consciousness which is in Ajna chakra and that occurs through the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit enters the human mind-body complex, a new being is created. This is the ‘Christ Body’, an energetic presence that encases, fills and permeates the physical body. This is the ‘descent of spirit into matter’. Through the Holy Spirit, we receive wisdom, love and guidance.
When we are filled with Holy Spirit this can awaken our life force inside and Christ like like transformation and total purification take place. The Christianity focuses mainly on the Divine energy as the Holy Spirit, not recognizing the Kundalini energy as the force that purifies the lower nature, thus making it possible to be united with the Divine self while in a physical body.
The Holy Spirit represents the descent of spirit into matter and is the means by which we enter into the Christ-stream of consciousness, thereby bringing the consciousness of The Christ into human physicality. Through this process, a Spirit or Christ Body is created, which merges the physical, etheric and astral bodies into one. The merging of these three bodies into one is the ‘ascent into heaven’.
The energy of the Holy Spirit enters at the heart. This is because the heart is the intersection point where the higher and lower aspects of man become balanced. When the Holy Spirit enters, it will simultaneously awaken the Kundalini if the person is ready. If more growth is needed, the Holy Spirit will guide that person’s growth until the time it is possible to clear the lower bodies (the ascent of matter into spirit) and ascend upward.
In contrast, when the Kundalini awakens without the Holy Spirit, it will awaken in the root chakra. This type of Kundalini awakening results in only the ascension of matter. That is, the ego level is brought upward into the spiritual realm, but one is left feeling blank and empty because the Spirit/Christ Body does not enter to replace one’s sense of self.
The activation of the Kundalini energy without the descent of the Holy Spirit is dangerous to my understanding. Those who experience these types of Kundalini awakenings have the most difficulty, physically, energetically and emotionally. Without the presence of the Holy Spirit, the expanded states of consciousness which accompany biological Kundalini do not bring love, wisdom, spiritual guidance and inspiration. Instead, the person is left feeling blank and empty, teetering between the two extremes of spiritual transcendence and physical density, wondering if they have ‘reached enlightenment’.
While the Kundalini feels like energy that is moving up and through the body, the Holy Spirit feels like ‘love energy’ that is moving in and down into the body. Kundalini feels as if it is lifting you up through transcendence. The Holy Spirit feels like it is expanding you through love and teaching you how to hold that expansion in the midst of a daily life.
Without the infilling of Spirit, one is still susceptible to corruption by the lower energies within the Earth’s consciousness. The individual lower nature has been purified at this point, but the planetary lower nature has not. This is why so many ‘enlightened gurus’ do very unenlightened things.
My understanding, is first let the Holy Spirit come upon you and the Holy Spirit may guide you in the Kundalini process and become one with Christ.

Life of a Missionary-Divine Providence

1975-He reaches Banaras (Varanasi), Bishop Patrick sent him to Nagpur seminary for completing his studies-2 year Philosophy, 4 years of Theology, which he completed.
1981-At last he becomes a Deacon, which last only one year. Priesthood was at hand, eventually.
Coming home for priestly ceremony-
He comes back to his native village Nedungapra after 24 years (he left Nedungapra in 1958).All his family, brothers and sisters thought he was not alive.
But disaster struck him again, while he was in Kerala on a visit to prepare the priesthood ceremony. He had massive internal bleeding from a burst stomach ulcer and admitted unconscious in Little flower Hospital Angamaly.He was again, 3rd time undergone a major operation by Dr George Jacob and the surgeon removed 2/3 of his stomach and while in hospital he received 18 pints of blood transfusion. It was a miraculous escape from death.
1982-15th April-Priesthood ceremony took place in the village church_Nedungapra.His ambition of life was fulfilled. He became Fr.K.O.Francis, fondly called “Fr K.O.”
1982-2000-Spent his life as priest in the Diocese of Varanasi, served as a diocesan, spiritual director in various parishes and seminaries in North India-Nagaland, Jaunpur (UP,) Andaman Islands etc.He built nearly 12 churches in different parts of north India.
2000-At the age of 66, because of his ill health ,he requested Bishop of Varanasi to come back to Kerala for better medical treatment and to lead a not so hectic life. The permission was  granted and from year 2000 onwards, he served in various places in Kerala-Kanjoor,Chalil,Elavoor,Ettumannoor and now serving as a spiritual father for the boy’s orphanage in Divine centre, Muringoor, Chalakkudy.
In summary-His life as missionary lasted 24 years as lay missionary-”Brother” and completed 28 years of priesthood, had 3 major operations; still continue his life’s call for Jesus- His mission is endless and diverse .
But despite the difficulties and hardship, Fr. Francis feels joy and satisfaction. “The biggest reward for me is the presence of God in my life as a Divine Word Missionary and in the lives of the people I served, and still serving..” says Fr Francis
“Every Catholic, whether priest, religious or layman, should rejoice because all of his talents, knowledge, studies, power, nobility, profession, art, earthly goods, service, prayers used for the propagation of faith and rekindling of charity in the world can acquire the merit of the apostolate”
- St. Vincent Pallotti.

Offering Holy mass-Holy Mass intentions
An individual may ask a priest to offer a Mass for several reasons: as thanksgiving, for the intentions of another person (such as on a birthday, wedding anniversary or any special need), or, as is most common, for the repose of the soul of someone who has died.
To have a Mass offered for the repose of his soul and to offer our prayers are more beneficial and comforting than any other sympathy card or kind words.
One must never forget the infinite graces that flow from the Sacrifice of the Mass which benefit one’s soul. One cannot put a price of a Holy mass, how can we put a price of  Christ’s death on the cross for mankind? Anyhow a small stipend is given to the priest for offering the Mass, which thereby creates an obligation which must be satisfied and way of livelihood for the priest.
If you would like to ask Fr.Francis to offer Holy mass for any intention, please call him (His cell Number-09447092078).Or you can email me and I can forward the message to him. God bless.

God particle or Divine Particle

19Jan 2012
The name God’s particle originated in a book that was initially supposed to be called The Goddamn Particle. The publisher chose to shorten the title, and the name stuck, much to the dismay of everyone who knows what the particle actually is.
It was the “Higgs boson”, who nicknamed “God’s particle”.
In the moments immediately after the Big Bang, the universe would have remained a “stock of pure energy”, without ever having the possibility of turning into matter – as summarized by Einstein’s well known formula e = mc2.
The Gnostics believed humans are divine sparks trapped in the human body. They claimed they possessed the secret of the Divine Spark or particle and how to “perfect” their bodies into light. The Great Perfection, as it is called in Tibet, is the process whereby all the nerves of the body are transmuted into a vortex of energy and the Divine Spark is “beamed” to another locale in space-time.
The Gnostics further believed that the soul was composed of an immaterial and imperishable crystalline substance. It emanated from the highest, finest realm and became entangled in the human body and the spell of Earth.
At sunrise on December 21, 2012 for the first time in 26,000 years the Sun rises to conjunct the intersection of the Milky Way and the plane of the ecliptic. According to the Mayans this date will mark the end of one world and the beginning of another.
This rare galactic alignment is referred to as the Cosmic Cross. It’s considered to be an embodiment of theSacred Tree, The Tree of Life, a tree remembered as sacred in all the world’s spiritual traditions.
The God Particle might as well be called the Christ Particle (Christ = the universal and life-giving consciousness of the cosmos)

Gayathri Mantra-Divine awakening

Gayathri Mantra the foremost mantra in Hinduism .The Gayatri Mantra is a highly revered mantra in Hinduism, second only to the mantra Om. The Gâyatrî Mantra is from the Rig Veda (iii, 62, 10), which has existed in written form for at least 2500 to 3500 years.
Gayathri’ is not actually the Goddess, which sounds surprising but she is held in equal reverence because she is the mother of the Vedas or Divine Knowledge.
The word Gâyatrî is made from these two words:
gaya – vital energies
trâyate – preserves, protects, gives deliverance, grants liberation.
So, the two words “Gâyatrî Mantra” might be translated as: a prayer of praise that awakens the vital energies and gives liberation.
By many Hindus, the Gayatri is seen as a Divine awakening of the mind and soul, and within it a way to reach the most Supreme form of existence, and the way to Union with Brahman. Understanding, and purely loving the essence of the Gayatri Mantra is seen by many to be one, if not the most powerful ways to attain God.
In Malayalam

Thy Supreme Sin-destroying Light
May Thou Guide Our Intellect
In the Right Direction

Word for Word Meaning of the Gayatri Mantra

Aum = Brahma ;
bhoor = pran ;
bhuwah = destroyer of sufferings ;
swaha = embodiment of happiness ;
tat = that ;
savitur = bright like sun ;
varenyam = best choicest ;
bhargo = destroyer of sins ;
devasya = divine ;
these first nine words describe the glory of God
dheemahi = pertains to meditation
dhiyo = intellect ;
yo = who ;
naha = our ;
prachodayat = may inspire!
“dhiyo yo na prachodayat” is a prayer to God
Its meaning is that “May the Almighty God illuminate our intellect to lead us along the righteous path”. The mantra is also a prayer to the “giver of light and life”
Om (Aum): ”The Beginning and the End – Alfa and Omega” Revelations – Chapter 22 vs:13
The Bible (John 1:1) says: “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” Modern Vedic philosophers have interpreted this teaching of the Bible, and equated Om with God. Om is the most important of all mantras. All mantras generally begin and often also end with Om.
Kundalini Yoga and Gayathri Mantra
“Iam the light of the world, who ever follows me will have the light of life..” St John Ch 8 vs:12
The Gayathri Mantra has been revered for thousands of years by both Hindus and Buddhists alike. It is considered a supreme vehicle for enlightenment. It is called “The Mantra of Spiritual Light” because it infuses the Spiritual Light of Creation into all the seven Chakras in ones body…
It heals the body, feeds the Spirit and illumines the Intellect.
“May the Almighty God illuminate our intellect to lead us along the righteous path”.

Reciting the mantra OM

Chanting Om is the first step towards meditation. All that you need to do is to select a peaceful place, sit down on the floor on a yoga mat, gently close your eyes, take a deep breath and chant Om. This should be done in two steps – first deep sounds of OOOO then followed by mmmm.
While doing so, completely relax your muscles. Don’t tighten your muscles; otherwise you won’t be able to feel the energizing effect of chanting Om. Meditation on Om will revitalize your energy and rejuvenate you completely. To know more about Om meditation, read on.
For Aum meditation, it is of utmost importance to retire at a tranquil place, otherwise your concentration will get adversely affected. Try not to let your mind wander and think about other worldly things. Repeat Om several times in a day and try to associate it with the feeling of eternity. Don’t just speak out Om, but also think about its meaning in your heart and then see the magical effects.
When you recite Om, just don’t do it for the sake of it. Instead, make a sincere effort to accomplish the purpose of performing it. If you succeed in doing so, there will be amazing feeling in your heart. There is no fixed time of meditating on Om. You can do it as many times as you wish. When your mind is totally able to concentrate, it is at that point of time that you are in a position to realize the power of divinity.

"maranatha" Mantra Yoga kundalini

Sir Arthur C Clarke once said, if the science cannot explain any particular phenomenon, we call it Occult. This applies to spirituality more than anything. People in the west don’t understand the eastern mysticism and Vedic science fully. They treat the Hindu and Buddhist Tantric science as unchristian and occult, even they think and talk of Jesus as western origin and Jesus Christ belongs only to Christian. Please remember, Jesus was a west Asian historically. Often the world forgets that He came for salvation of all man kind.
The teachings of Yoga Meditation are universal and non-sectarian, the fundamentalist Christian look at it is unchristian. How can it be?
Let us explore the Mantra –maranatha in this perspective.
“Maranatha” is the prayer word recommended by the World Community for Christian Meditation, the Maranatha Mantra has been taught extensively by Fr. John Main and Fr. Laurence Freeman through their organization, the World Community for Christian Meditation. It is an ancient Christian Meditation Mantra. Maranatha
“Ma-Ra-Na-Tha” meaning “Come Lord”
The maranatha prayer is one where one places everything aside: instead of talking to God, one is just being with God, allowing God’s presence to fill one’s heart, thus transforming one’s inner being.
Mantra is a very useful practice in Yoga Meditation. While many, possibly most, of the practitioners of Yoga Meditation who use a mantra use Sanskrit mantras, the science of Yoga Meditation itself does not tell you what mantras to use. The mantra might be in Sanskrit or any other language, either one’s native tongue or the language of one’s chosen religion. Some of the more brief meditation mantras are simply sound vibrations that are not from any particular language, though being root sounds of languages. These are called seed or bija mantras like Om.
There is a Christian meditation mantra that has been used for a very long time by the early monks, though it is little known publicly as a mantra practice. It is the mantra Maranatha.
The word Maranatha is the final instruction of St. Paul’s teachings to the Corinthians, and is St. John’s final instruction in the Book of Revelations. Thus, the last word, the final teaching of the entire Christian Bible is “Maranatha,” which is Aramaic and means, “Come Lord.”
“maran-atha,” it has two different meanings:
As “mara-natha,” it means “Come Lord,” or “Lord Come.”
As “maran-atha,” it means “Lord is Here” or “Lord has Come.”
Pronouncing the mantra: (Ma-Ra-Na-Tha). Allow it to arise rhythmically in the mind field at whatever speed comes naturally, whether fast or slow, though you will probably find it will slow down on its own. Allow yourself to feel the meaning of the mantra, in whatever way matches your own spiritual or religious predisposition. Or simply feel the calmness that comes from the gentle repetition. The feeling is more subtle when remembered in the silence of the mind rather than spoken aloud.
Maranatha and Kundalini Yoga
If one read the last chapter in St.Johns revelation, the metaphor used in the versus are all about Kundalini Yoga, the kingdom of God within you. The Sahasrara chakra, the Sushumna, the Ida and pingala are all mentioned in symbolic language.
The enlightened use the upper chakras to attain bliss-Anaatha, Vishuddi, Ajna and Sahasrara Chakras. The lower three chkras-Muladhara, Swadishtana and Manipuraka chakras are earthly.
So the chanting of Maranatha Mantra starts from Anahatha- the heart Chakra then the Ajna chakra and finally the Sahasrara Chakra.
Mantra with breath: While the mantra may be done completely in the mind field, it also coordinates nicely with the breath when remembered silently as Ma-Ra-Na-Tha, with each of the four parts remembered separately:
• “Ma” with inhalation
• “Ra” with exhalation
• “Na” with inhalation
• “Tha” with exhalation
When coordinating the mantra with the breath, let the breath be smooth, slow, and quiet, with no pauses between the breaths. Be sure that the syllables of the mantra are only in the mind, and not disturbing the flow of the breath in the lungs, throat, or nasal passages.
The mantra may be remembered in the mind with no association with breath. The entire “Ma-Ra-Na-Tha” simply rolls through the silence of the inner mind field, being a pleasant, rhythmic companion, affirmation, and prayer. After remembering the mantra for some period of time, whether or not you count the repetitions, a time will come when the mantra will lead your attention to complete silence in the physical space in which you are remembering it (heart or eyebrow center). Allow this to happen naturally, going into complete inner silence, while holding the deeper meaning and feeling in awareness. Although repetition of the mantra is quite useful in stabilizing a noisy mind (without repressing thoughts or emotions), this leading quality is a more valuable spiritual aspect of mantra meditation.
Bindu: Mantra eventually merges into silence at a point, which is called Bindu in Sanskrit. This is sometimes experientially described as seeing light at the end of a tunnel. After seeing that point of light, one eventually travels up or into the tunnel, encounters the source of the light, and then goes beyond it. This process involves traversing the subtle stream of consciousness that is called Sushumna in Sanskrit, the last section of which is called Brahma Nadi. This subtle stream is considered by some to be the Silver Cord referred to in Ecclesiastes and some of the mystical Christian traditions. The Bindu, or point of light is then encountered at the end of the tunnel, stream, Sushumna, Brahma Nadi or Silver Cord. Bindu may also be viewed by the esoteric, mystical or yogic practitioner as a subtler meaning of the instructions.

Reciting the mantra OM
